ATHLETICS
At Covenant Classical Christian School, athletics is more than physical activity - it is a vital aspect of whole-person formation and an opportunity to glorify God through disciplined training, teamwork, and godly character. We recognize physical well-being as an essential part of classical Christian education, rooted in both Scripture and the classical tradition. Socrates and Plato emphasized the care of the body not merely for strength or appearance, but as a means of cultivating courage. A true Christian paideia - a vision of education that shapes the whole person - keeps the care of the body and soul in proper balance.
Athletics at Covenant equips students for meaningful competition and faithful living. Through athletic participation, students are taught to honor God with their conduct—practicing integrity, perseverance, humility, and grace in both victory and defeat. Physical education and sports become a training ground for virtue—shaping body and soul for service to God, others, and the world.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.” — Romans 12:1
